TANGO

Since 2006, they participated in several tango festivals around the world as teachers and performers.

In 2014 Ruben wrote his book "Secretos del abrazo", about the technique they developed to teach tango. The book is available in spanish, english, russian and italian languages.
In 2015 Ruben was tango stage´s adjudicator in the final round of the Argentinian Tango World Championship.

As choreographers they created "Recuperados" in 2015, "A nuestro hijo" in 2014, "Al sur del sur" for River North Chicago Dance Company in 2011, "Dramatic Tango" in 2010, on tour in Japan, "Tangos Corazonicos" during 2009 in Buenos Aires, and also they created and directed "Tango on stage" on tour in USA.

In 2009 they were juries in Japan, Spain and Chile of the Tango World Championship.

During 2008 they tour China with their show Radio Latina, covering six cities including Shanghai, the same year they tour Japan with the Momoco Aida orchestra and also they present their show "Abrazame" at the Menton Tango Festival in France and they tour Holland with the Amsterdam Sinfonetta presenting their choreography "Last Round".

In july of 2006 within the Soccer World Cup they are featured in a TV Special in Holland.
On April 30, 2005 they made an appearance during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Queen Beatrix of Holland reign.

Between 2001 to 2005 they perform in different places in Buenos Aires like Esquina Carlos Gardel, El Querandi and Rojo Tango beetween others and also they take part in companies like Tango x 2 and Tango Emocion.

March 1998 through February 2001, they were cast in the Nueva Compañia Tangueros, as first dancers with wich they premiered the show "Milonga Boulevard" in New York, USA, playing the lead couple. Their work received excellent reviews from critic Jack Anderson of the "New York Times".

With 12 years dancing together, this multiple-styled couple have achieved identity and personality in their dance, exquisite and perfect blend of high technique, dynamism, musicality and authentic feeling of the intrinsic roots of Tango Argentino.

After having worked at the most important tango houses and shows in Buenos Aires, South America and Europe, as "Señor Tango", "Esquina Carlos Gardel" and "Tanguera", they choreographed, produced and directed their own tango company "ConjuroTango". With a cast of 26 artists on scene, this great show has sucessfully performed at the Major Theatres and Operas in Argentina and Asia. Apart from that, they have created, directed and performed seven different thematic solo shows, as "Around the world", "The shadow of Malevo"and "All about tango".

Since 2009, they are invited masters to important tango festivals around the world, touring to USA, Australia, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Philiphines, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. They have come several times to Fukuoka in the last 10 years becoming a reference on these 20 years of tango in our city. Their performances at Sakura Tango have always been breathtaking.

When they are in Buenos Aires, they are invited to perform at the most traditional and popular milongas, as Salon Canning, La Baldosa, Yira Yira and De los Zucca, among others. Moreover, they were invited to dance with prestigious orchestras as Color Tango and Sexteto Milonguero in 2015 and 2016 as well.

In their lessons and workshops, they teach how to dance the sharing the essence of traditional tango with dynamics of nowadays, using natural movements applied to the dance, they have achieved great results in students of all ages around the globe.

Their teaching career started in 2009. The first tango school to formally hire them as teachers was Tiempo Ibearoamericano in Fukuoka, Japan, where they return yearly.

They have also travelled giving exhibitions and workshops in Italy, Greece, Austria, Uruguay, and several places in Argentina: Jujuy, Salta, Catamarca, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba and Santa Fé.

Of course their main artistic activities are concentrated in Buenos Aires, where they live. Cinthia teaches at UNA and at the Escuela de Danzas Tradicionales Argentinas Jose Hernández. Bruno is a guest teacher at UNA, teacher and choreographer at the Compañia de Danzas Argentinas de la Municipalidad de Ituzaingó, he works as a DJ in several milongas and also acts as musical advisor to maestro Leonardo Cuello.

Both Cinthia and Bruno also teach at the college extension of UNA.

As dancers, they regularly perform dancing exhibitions at traditional milongas, and this year they have been invited to participate at the Festival y Mundial de Baile de Tango (Bruno had won first prize at the Campeonato Metropolitano de Milonga in 2006).

They have been key-players at developing tango scene in Fukuoka during these 20 years. They have participated at Sakura Tango leaving some of the very special memories at our festival.

Marcelo Ramer and Selva Mastroti were born in Cordoba, Argentina. When still children they started their artistic training studying ballet and Argentinean folk dance. In their teens they approached the Argentinean tango in Buenos Aires, studying with many different teachers who taught them love and respect towards this dance.

Dancing together for 15 years, Selva and Marcelo have performed in many different companies, taking part in various tango festivals and improving their style continuously. At the moment Selva and Marcelo are living in Turin, working as artistic directors and teachers in the most important tango school in the city: "Ateneo del Tango", Aldobaraldo Association, 29/b Parma street.

Their classes are full of passion, they love passing their knowledge with spontaneity and simplicity. Starting from the deep roots of tango, they move across all its facets, from basic technique to simple and complex movements, never neglecting musicality and harmony in pair work. Selva and Marcelo are internationally acknowledged and well-known for their useful way of teaching that helps the learner in the learning process with an amusing and stimulating method.

They took part at Sakura Tango 2016 and had a great impact on everybody calling them to be back.

The charm of Tango Cristal is the sound of young musicians’ passions blended, and they have a carrier for 43 years.
Machiko Komatsu & Tango Cristal were formed in 1986 by pianist, Machiko Komatsu whose-magnificent and accurate piano skills were greatly admired by Maestro Astor Piazzolla of modern Tango, and Masaru Komatsu who is a guitarist, a composer and a music arranger. They are celebrating 30th anniversary this year.
Their variety performances range widely from sentimental classical Tango, nostalgic continental Tango to contemporary Tango, and they always fascinate the audience with an original sound that appeals to Japanese sensitivity by the arrangement of Masaru Komatsu.
They have been performing at concerts, live events in Japan and Argentina as well as in international ceremonies in America and Canada, so now they are familiar to the Tango orchestra both in name and reality.

In 1990, their performance at the Exhibition of Japanese and Asian products in Buenos Aires, Argentina was highly praised by the president of Argentina.
In 1996, they made their debut on the cruise ship, Nipponmaru and Fujimori. Since then, they have been performing annually in the main shows on the round the world cruise.
In 1999, they crossed to Buenos Aires again, and their performances were greatly admired by the audience at the National Cervantes Theatre and the President Alvear Theatre.
Ryota Komatsu of Bandoneon has been performing successfully in Japan as well as all over the world. He is the first son of Machiko and Masaru Komatsu, and was a member of “Tango Cristal” for more than 10 years. Now, he belongs to PROMAX. His earlier performances of young ages from 19 to 21 years of age are available in the Tango live collection in 5 CDs.

Machiko Komatsu (Piano)

Born in Tokyo, and graduated Toho gakuen college music, piano course. Maestro Astor Piazzolla of modern Tango greatly admired her magnificent and accurate piano skills. She has performed for 30 years with Tango Cristal. The 5 CDs and 1 DVD they produced so far, gained popularity. She realized that it is her life work to search and examine Tango so loved by Japanese people. She talked about the history of Tango development in Japan and was praised for her performance in the Timeless brilliant tango concert.

Satoshi Kitamura (Bandoneon)

Satoshi met Ryota Komatsu of Bandoneon while he was in Kansai University and took lessons of Julio Pane. He has performed in Tango festivals all over the world. In 2011, he was catapulted in the Asian team of Pablo Ziagler, a Quintet pianist of Piazzolla. The duo performed at Tiempo Iberoamericano as well. In 2014, he performed B to C; Bach to modern music of the recital series, for which he received high praise. Also, he participates in various recordings, movies and TV dramas.

Atsushi Yoshida (Violin)

Born in Yamaguchi, he started playing violin at the age of 4. He graduated from the Department of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts, where he majored in Music science. Also, he completed the Viola course at post-graduate level. He has performed as a classical violist, and he is a part-time instructor researching orchestral music at Tokyo University of the Arts now. He is a member of geidai philharmonia. As for Tango, he has been the 1st violinist of Machiko Komatsu and Tango Cristal since 2003. He fascinated the audience with his beautiful sounds and a warm expression.

Kazuhiro Tanabe (Contrabass)

He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts after completing of the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Also, he studied under Akitoshi Watanabe, Yoshio Nagashima, and Zsolt Tibay. Besides classical music, he performed with many artists and performed as a Tango bassist with Ryota Komatsu and the Tanguists.

He has performed in more than 100 productions of Sal Zuera, Opera and Musical. He is the one of the most respected tenor singers in Spain.

Daniel Liu: Daniel is one of the first tango teachers and dancers in Taiwan since 1998. Co-founder of the Taipei Tango Association in 2000, the Taipei Tango Festival in 2003 and the studio Tanguisimo Tango Space in 2008, Daniel is also renowned for his taste and vision as a studio owner and as an event organizer. Daniel speaks fluent Spanish as well as English and Mandarin and has never stopped his search for the essence of tango de salon and its culture, giving speeches about tango music and DJing regularly in Taipei. Apart from teaching and performing in several cities and festivals in Asia and Europe, Daniel was also judge at the Tango Dance Asian Championship in Tokyo for consecutive years in 2009 and 2010, making him the only Taiwanese with such recognition. Daniel has also coached and choreographed for many artists of the show business in Taiwan, including A-Mei, Isaac Hu, Jody Chiang, Tanya Tsai, Sandrinne Pinna, and Chiling Lin.

Anna Chinn: Anna is a multi-talented model, actress, voice actress, magazine editor, artwork designer, tango clothes designer, and a tango dancer and teacher in Taiwan. She has an exeptional instinct for fashion and works as PR manager at Tanguisimo Tango Space, Taipei. She founded her collection ANNA GOLD Tango Wear in 2010. Anna and Daniel got married in Oct. 2011 and as a couple will be making their overseas debut in their Japan trip to Hiroshima and Tokyo in 2012. Daniel & Anna were invited to Hiroshima and Tokyo for workshops and exhibitions in 2012. In 2013 they participated in various performances including the Taipei Food Show, Taipei Tango Festival, Taipei Travel Fair and Bali Tango in Paradise.

Shinji lived in Argentina, the home of tango, for more than five years to learn from various Maestros. Also, Natsune started learning Argentinian Tango in her teens. They started working together in 2014. They are both musicians as well as dancers. Shinji is a Tango guitarist and Natsune is a Jazz singer. Their CDs are on sale, and their particular style of music has earned a good reputation. They have performed and run workshops inside and outside Japan. They are getting noticed and have recently been awarded prizes in the competitions listed below.

In 2015, they were runners up in the “Salon Championship of Tango Marathon” in Tokyo.
In 2016, they came 4th in the Stage section of the “Tango World Championship” in Korea.
In 2016, they came 3rd in the Milonga section, and 4th in the Vals section of the “Metropolitan Championship” in Korea.

Lucia & Alejandro are no strangers in the world of Tango in Asia. Based in the Land of the Rising Sun, the duo has been actively participating towards the continued promotion of this sensual art form in their own quiet way.
From Tokyo to Kyoto, Osaka Yokohama they continuously do the rounds in Japan to share their knowledge and expertise of the dance.
They run their regular milongas, classes and events at their own studio in Akasaka, Tokyo called Para Dos Tango.
He dances with speed and precision. While she answers back with her gentle and feminine grace. Combined together, they present a harmonious partnership of elegance, power and sophistication.

Enrique and Carolina had their start as dance partners after appearing in the 2009 TV commercial for the Daihatsu TANTO. Since then they have appeared together at embassy and corporate events, Japanese national concert tours and fashion show.
They are also active in promoting TANGO THERAPY as a means of making people familiar with Tango. Together they also produce and choreograph the biennial TANGO MAGICO music show.

Enrique Morales
Started professional dancing at 16.
Has performed as a member of EV TANGO all over the world.
He has also appeared on stage more than 300 times of the well-known Argentine Bar, BAR SUR.
Currently representing the Mario Morales Tango Academy as a executive director at TANGO SOL NIHONBASHI, in Tokyo, Japan.

Carolina Alberici
For ten years, Alberici has been on stage more than 250 times, appeared in TV commercials and planned events such as the Christmas Dinner Show on the luxury cruise ship, NIHON-MARU.
Currently working as an expression teacher to a number of Japanese figure skaters, and as executive director of a ARGENTINE TANGO CLUB “Dance Studio” in Nagoya, Japan.
